| Photo Here | Kari has been practicing Yoga for more than 10 years and became a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Integral Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2002. Kari discovered yoga while recovering from knee surgery and was so inspired by yoga's ability to use asana (physical postures) to create a sacred space within oneself, that she has dedicated herself to its practice and to spreading its love through the founding of East Yoga Center. She was certified through the Bhava Teacher Training program in 2003. Having studied dance most of her life, Kari prefers to both practice and teach the flowing style of vinyasa yoga. In her brief career as a full time yoga instructor, Kari has taught in hospitals, health clubs, yoga studios, corporate offices and homes throughout New York City. Kari is a professionally trained actress, having earned a BA from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She had a starring role in the Off-Broadway production of "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding" as well as numerous parts in theatrical, film, and commercial releases. Kari originally hails from Toronto and has successfully run her own dog training and dog walking business for the past 3 years. She is looking forward to merging her two passions with the much anticipated DOGA classes to be offered at East Yoga Center . |

All of your class packages that might have expired while we were attempting to secure a venue will be extended to a year and will be usable at either the Ross School location or at the tent in the Channing Sculpture Garden, our Summer location.
